Recent Projects


ADP is a well-known Fortune 500 global provider of cloud-based human capital management systems. The company plans to hire 450 employees. Total economic impact is $485 million. 

Amazon, Inc. recently announced plans to open its first fulfillment center in Tucson, creating more than 1,500 full-time jobs with competitive hourly wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Caterpillar Surface Mining & Technology

Caterpillar, the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, will relocate their Service Mining and Technology headquarters to Tucson.  The company is expected to hire 635 employees. Economic impacts are estimated at $1.9 billion over 10 years.


GEICO is the second-largest private passenger automobile insurance company in the US and is a leading employer in Tucson with 2,100 employees. The company will relocate to a larger, purpose constructed office complex and expand by 861 jobs.

Hexagon Mining

Hexagon Mining, an information technology provider of planning, operations and safety solutions for the mining industry, announced the relocation and expansion of its Tucson, AZ-based North American headquarters to downtown Tucson. Hexagon Mining employs 140 people in Tucson and plans to add 120 jobs over the next five years. 

Lucid Motors

Lucid Motors has selected Casa Grande/Pinal County as the site for its new electric car manufacturing facility, with 2,213 new jobs and a $700 million capital investment.  This is Arizona’s first auto manufacturing operation and Mexico will play a major role in its supply chain.  The project represents a $1.7 billion economic impact to Arizona.

Raytheon Missile Systems

Raytheon Missile Systems has selected Tucson/Pima County as the site for a significant expansion.  The expansion represents the addition of nearly 2,000 new high-skilled, high-wage jobs and will result in an impact of several billion dollars being added to the regional economy over the next few years.


TuSimple, an autonomous commercial vehicle technology company based in China, has opened a new facility in Tucson.  The company projects to hire 100 people within a five-year time period.  The majority of those hired will be advanced engineering positions, in addition to truck drivers and operators.  TuSimple also projects to invest $15 million in capital expenditures bringing its economic impact to $81.7 million over five years. 

Vector Space Systems

Vector Space Systems, a micro satellite space launch company, is locating its manufacturing facility in the Pima County Aerospace, Defense and Technology Business & Research Park, and adding 200 high-wage jobs in Southern Arizona. The company’s expansion is expected to have an estimated $290 million economic impact on the local economy over five years.
